Who am I?

I am an Indian woman, born in Durban, South Africa, and now living in the cosy town of Sorø, Denmark, with my husband and two children.
β
My creative identity has been shaped by a life lived between cultures, expectations and traditions. Growing up during the aftermath of apartheid and within a strict cultural environment, I often challenged ideas surrounding race, gender roles and what was expected of me as a young Indian woman.
β
Choosing my own path was not always easy, but it taught me resilience, curiosity and the value of individuality. Along the way, I developed a deep fascination with people, culture, identity and self-expression.
β
These experiences continue to influence the way I create. My work is an expression of curiosity, individuality and the freedom to challenge expectations — celebrating the idea that we do not have to be defined by where we come from, but can choose who we become.
